That doesn't leave a lot of room for OS overheads, so the Vega sacrified the OS entirely. Emulating a spectrum is not a trivial task when you try to get as close to 100% accuracy as current knowledge allows - you'll need around 350MHz to do it on an x86. Originally, there was a bare-metal emulation in the Vega which just about managed to get a decent amount of compatibility without having to sacrifice speed. The ARM inside the Vega and Vega+ runs at around 400MHz. This does not apply to (digital) game/music/movie crowdfunders, obviously, where there's no added costs per physical item that has to be accounted for in the general budget. The reason for the delay (this time) is that FUSE has had to be adopted (with the blessing of the FUSE team, I might add - I'm a personal friend of the principle author) into a system that can barely handle it. Which is also why a lot of successful campaigns end up actually being dropship scams reselling Chinese products for multiple times their value.Īnd the way these sites have developed (literally everyone want the actual product for cheap nowadays, not some merch associated with it, and desperately yells for refunds if anything is not delivered in time) make it pretty impossible to raise funds for any piece of equipment properly.

Even an established company would have trouble delivering a product like that, a little group of people with no experience can only hope for outside funding after a successful run, otherwise there's just literally no way to deliver a product as expected while also paying for all the steps that lead to that. Which is also a huge issue with crowdfunding in general, there's no real donations or funding, people spend money expecting something in return, and because they spend it not knowing what to expect, if anything, and when, they also want it cheaper than retail value. In their defense, they probably actually had nothing to begin with (including manufacture experience), so design, development, and production ate away most of their funds, leading to this 30$ tops (simply because the display is apparently nice, maybe even a little more because of that) piece of cheap plastic equipment. Generally speaking, this thing is obviously abysmal for over 100£, any shitty smartphone will give you a better product with the same abilities and superior functionality.

Still their mistake for not having a similar note on the start menu and a general note about how to start games anywhere at all. And starting the game seems to be consistently another press of the 1 button. Aside from the first screen, where you do have to blindly tap four buttons to find the "select" one, which turns out to be the top one, not the bottom as you're used to from controllers/games, it very clearly states at the bottom of the screen that you're supposed to choose with F and favorite with 1. To be fair to the thing, the reviewer's usage of controls was clearly his fault, not the console's. If you have any tips for this subreddit, please use the "message the moderators" button below.
